Honey Bees Project Reflection
This year in biology we did a whole project on honey bees. Honey bees are a very important part of our ecosystem and the place our food comes from. They pollinate lots our plants they create fruit and nuts and much more. Without honey bees we would lose a lot of the flowers and food. We should be concerned about our honey bees because our food and other pollinated things can go away.
For this project my main focus was Artificial sweetener vs. Honey. I was showing the nutritional value of these 2 sweeteners. I learned that Artificial sweetener is a toxic mess that is created so you can lose weight and not take on the carbs. For exhibition I made a honey taste tester and also a info graphic showing my research. This was so people could see my research and taste the different nutrients in the honey. This showed they have a physical difference as well as a different look The most thing I'm proud of s my info graphic and the way I presented my research in a good way.

Dissection Project Reflection
For my dissection project in Biology I did the virtual online dissection. The reason I did this was because I do not like to be around dead animals or cut them open. I understand it just as much or more then the people who did the real dissection. I learned a lot about the animal I was dissecting. It also let me learn about how humans bodies work and the functions of each organ and part. What I learned about myself with this project is that this is not the career I would like to pursue although I found it interesting. This dissection project was a lot of fun and very content filled. I never had time to mess around and i was always learning. Next year i will be able to use some of this information and it will help me continue at a good pace.
Crime Scene Project Reflection
We recently had a project in Biology that was all about DNA and Crime scene processing. We started out learning about exoneration and how DNA has improved out justice system. Exoneration is the action of officially absolving someone from blame. We had to get partners then we were assigned a crime scene to investigate . I was part of Crime scene 2 which was about skeletal remains found In the San Juan National forest. Another part of the project was to write Crime scene reports with specific sciences behind them to support.
In every different Crime Scene we used different sciences. The Forensic sciences we used included Forensic Entomology, Odontology, Fingerprinting, Analysis of Mitochondrial DNA , and much more. With all these sciences that we learned we used them to found out who and what had happened in our own crime scene. For example in Crime scene 2 we studied Odontology because we had to use the teeth in the skull to find the right victim.
Personally I liked the Forensic science of Odontology the most. I think I enjoyed it the most because we got to look at the actual skull and then look at x-rays. Comparing them was really interesting because you could see if they had braces or fillings and I never new that had shown up in an x-ray before.
Through out this whole project I think I was really good at working with my partener. I have never been good at having a partner because I like to do everything but now I feel that I can have partners.
The part of the project I could have improved on was time management. I would always wait until the last second to do something and it wouldn't turn out perfect. In the next project I will use my time better and have an even more refined final product.
