Project Description: To use the Imperfecto, pretérito, y perfecto de indicativo tenses correctly, as well as knowing the rules of accents. To learn about a famous person of Hispanic descent outside of our general realm of knowledge, and to share this knowledge with classmates orally and through your presentation. To show proficiency in Spanish pronunciation and oral skills by presenting to the class and at Exhibition. To exhibit comprehension of oral Spanish by answering questions about your person.
What this did for me: This project let me learn more about history. It made my Spanish skills stronger and I was able to show them to the community. I really enjoyed seeing how to speak in Spanish in first person past tense. |
La Casa en Mango Street oral presentation
|
In La Casa en Mango Street oral presentation we read the book La Casa en Mango Street. This book was a book all in Spanish about the family and there home. After we read this book we wrote our own. I wrote mine about my house and family. Then we created a podcast of us reading the story.

"Day in the life project"
|
In this project I learned how to use reflexive verbs in my Spanish. Reflexive verbs are important in Spanish because it allows you to say more complex Spanish sentences. In this project you had to write 15 Spanish sentences and then put them in a book or project of some type. I made a book, as you can see to the left, with all my sentences in it. The book I wrote was about my cats that live with me.

Why statement
Estudio español porque quiero ser inteligente, para trabajar en muchos países, y por mi país.
I want to study Spanish because I want to have other cultures in my life. I already have my mom’s German side and my dad’s American side. I think with the Spanish also in my life that will my broaden horizon for an educational life. No one will ever know were Spanish can take you.

Cuento de tu niñez
In this Spanish project we made a story up or told a real story. My story was about a black bear that attacked me. I think it's important to express myself using the past tense in Spanish, because I want to be multicultural. I used the preterite and the imperfect tenses to help write my story, because it is all in the past tense.
